I think we smokers have a lot to thank the old Jazz and Blues greats for.

I doubt the pot scene would be as big as it is if not for their music spreading the message.

i absolutely LOVE jazz music. alllllll sorts.

bebop is ridiculously hard to play, gives you a whole new respect when listening to those old artists

but i must say my favorite is just your big band swing

loud. ridiculously high trumpet parts. crazy sax riffs. killer bass lines. and a grooving rhythm section. improv is a must.

I don't play, but your brilliant descriptiuon of Big band Swing reminded me for some reason of the Santa Cruz Hemp Allstars.

All be-bop is reefer music. And not only did aot of jazz musicians smoked marijuana but they were big into mescaline and psychedelics. alot of good jazz musicians were distroyed by heroin later on. Art pepper, jaco pastorius, etc. So much great jazz influenced by drugs.

it was jazz musicians in harlem during the 60s and 70s that started rolling the herb into cigar shells.....hence the origin of the blunt.....
