When did it all start for you, what turned you into the raver you became.

This is what done it for me, back when I was just starting out in my teenage years (god this makes me feel old) back in 89, the one track that I heard and then knew top of the pops was not for me, so calling out to all massive people, listen and enjoy the track that changed my life forever.

First rave i went to was back in 98 was my 18th bday. My friend came up and told me bout rave going on that night at some warehouse. Never been to one before so i said fuck it lets go check it out. We picked up a 10 strip of acid and some rolls then headed up there. Was the first time i heard happy hardcore and i fucking loved it. Was also the first time i had ever candy flipped (that was a whole nother experience in itself).

It sucks the rave scene has died down a lot where i live, haven't been to one in bout 4 years now.

I grew up in Orlando during the 90's...we had Firestone, Aahz and the Abyss.Any week it would be ICEE, Sasha, John Digweed, Kimball Collins etc.. Sweaty people walking around with their eyes rolling around and backwards cigarettes in their mouths. Gainesville was just as bad with Simons and Soulhouse. I remember songs like "I'ts a fine day" by Opus 3, and "Just take me higher" by RAF and "Yo Yo get Funky" by Fast Eddy. I had lots of friends into it. Personally, I always thought it was a bunch of sweaty homos and the music sucked unless u were rolling. No I don't want a back rub, and no I dont want vicks blown in my eyes.

The thing I remember most about Ravers were the lies they told. Any Sunday morning in downtown Orlando, they would pile out of The Edge or Firestone, ate the fuck up coming down from X. They would talk to you on the corner with white shit on the corners of their mouths, stories always went something like..."ya Brah, Im financing the next rave with the money I made from those double stacked white doves my boy got from a croatian hockey player in town for Digweeds set..you can tell they are from Amsterdam because the Wings on the dove point towards Holland... the Rave is going to be called "Oneness" and it's gonna be in the Gobi Desert..see you there brah."
