im a child of the 80's.... so I missed alot of great rock... im just wondering when is there going to be a group that had such a large impact like some of those great rock groups???

with dispersion of information it's not like a huge band can have as much of an effect as they used to. people have so many options, not like back in the day so where more bands are popular none of them can really have as much as an impact as back then.

i'd argue tho in terms of groundbreaking music & global appeal....RadioheaD? i'm sure there are other big bands like that too...name a few you think?

yea Miley Cirus... seems to the only one to be selling out pretty quickly...lol Im just saying that i missed so much not growing up in the 60's....

yea the 60s woulda been sweet to grow up in. still i think today is crazy exciting all this scary shit going on...i keep thinking we might just witness the end of days during our lifetime! i mean that would be a fuckin trip! i'll have led zeppelin playin when that day comes haha

i dunno if there ever could be any bands to top zeppelin or the beatles or any other great bands of those times, music is different now so to compare would be unfair. there's amazing bands today, but we're in a totally different era of music, i still think there's great things to come.
