a thief would have a field day with this just the same as they have done with mine. that plastic is easily cut with a good razor.
100 decibel motion sensors are $20 a piece. contact alarms (for the door) are $15 a piece. you could do like i'm doing and put 2x2s every 6 inches ($150 or so), but a determined thief can say through them just the same. an electric fence is only $100, but that's defeated by rubber handled clippers.
all you can do is deter, there's no such thing as full security.
UP winds would launch that kite from anywhere up here. lol.
post and beam-
style construction is the easiest and cheapest. for 4500 dollars you could get a 24x96 gutter connect, two layers of plastic and fans(for airwall). drips, pumps timers, etc..
lumber for tables, cloth for the floor. you know, all the shit you'd need.

hey big D whats kickin chicken? how's the family? so looking into greenhouse ay? just an FYI from me to you its only as secure as long as your in it, all greenhouses are subject to a hit and run even if its for shits and gigglrs. i have had 2 and both times they were hit while i was asleep. i had alarms and camera's by the time they went off the freakin thieves were in and out.. just a cut to the power source while your sleeping or go to the store and its fair game,, but i got smart and started using plexiglass 1/4'' and a layer of mesh fence and another layer of plexiglass. i made 4x8 sections and then bolted them from the inside.i will look thru my old photo's and try and find some pics, that was before the digital age..lol but all materials for an 8x8 was on the low end of $2000.00 so those pre-fabed one LOOK nice there not built to serve our needs.. hope it helps in the new decision making. when i come up i will help you snap one together if your ready. i got tools out the ass..anything to help a fellow grower.. say hi to the rest of your crew and i'll see ya in aug..
heck yeah baSs knows what he's talking about pertaining to a GH (secure brick slick house). I've been trying to imagine my version of secure GH wall panels similar to what he has described and it's clear he's worked through many of the details.
i prefer very little translucency on the sides, so nobody can really verify jack visually. Plexiglass, with grey/smokey poly panel and fencing or security bars all built within the walls. this will drive cost up, but allow it to possibly become sustainable. a constant video survey sounds essential too. i'd want to know who's face attempted to show up, if ever. with alittle luck and perseverance... sounds like our friend hic has been livin' the solar dream (GH) for awhile, right..
Lots of fucking tweekers up here too bro. OMG I would spend the whole next year plotting evil thoughts lmao. Oh just the thought is stressing me out. lmao. With all the guns in the UP you would think all the thieves would be dead, but no. lol.
Everyone here is doing good. I have been pushing myself to the limits the last few weeks I thought for sure I was going to the hospital last week. lol. When is the surgery? Anything new on that building?
I am very interested in any type of secure grow using the sun. lol. That shit would just stress me out though. I get these rooms done soon and I will be fine. Larger outdoor harvests may just get my ass caught up. lol.
alot of guys-
use TEK screws to secure chain link (or in some cases the thinner horse fence) to the inside of the house. i have seen it only eight feet high.
use the paint. you dilute it with water. 1:8 is perfect on poly. its 26 bucks. now it is also shaded(heat), and translucent, or non see through.
the frame for that building i posted is just about twelve hundred. plastic 6. 1800 for a 24x96 house.
