No, the act says that employers are free to do what they wish in that area. The kid at Wal-Mart being fired is a good example.
So don't think you are protected at work.

Many would like that addressed in the law, but until it is..you have no protection.

Have you ever worked with a total piece of shit employee? Unions protect bad workers. I don't think you will find added protection on jobs. I think employers should be able to hire and fire whoever they want. If patients where unable to get fired for smoking weed, that would be terrible!! lol. As an employer you should be able to hire only white people, only blonds with big tits, only mexicans, whatever you what.

yea there's a fine line here. No you shouldn't be fired for having thc in your urine sample but you also shouldn't be medicated at work. Its shitty but for now there is no real way to tell if your medicated at the time. I wouldn't want my mechanic toked out while working on my brakes....plenty of other scenarios with jobs but you should get my drift!

I would just quit the job and grow pot for a living...that easy if ya got the cash upfront or credit line. Invest in yourself and not the stock market. Then you need not worry about what a opinion of managment means to you. I'll help ya if I can sway that way cause you only got one life left and how great it would be a bit more free.

They should be allowed to but not to discriminate against me for wanting to leaviate my pain!

Not saying i would be or get medicted at work or anyone should.... i for one wouldnt be able to function and know my limits and can wait til i get home.... but this is how i see it normal pain medication has recomended doses such a take every 3-4 hours... now if i dont do it before work or during and its a at home deal why am i the bad guy while joe taking his pills while at work is ok to do so only because its been legal forever.... me personaly i would rather stay away from someone whose on pills while working then the people (such as myself) that medicate responsibly at home and arent at work?

well im actualy in the works of building a business but will take quite awhile to do so that way im self sufficient along with furthering my schooling so i can get out of what i do now!

would love to honestly but how much of taking a risk in ending up completely broke and nowhere to go or live? Now part of my plan, I wont ever have to worry about that by next year! Once things go the way i want and have planned out ill be as self sufficient as possible and will never have to worry about living circumstances or the issues following that! But however, that doesnt help the rest of the patients that just want to medicate and face loosing their income!

People are bitching about pharmaceutical drugs being accepted, but medical marijuana isn't. Especially at jobs that do not offer insurance!! Those people really have something to bitch about. But, I don't see it happening.
Anyway, good luck on your grow, and good luck on your business also. When you own your own business you can fire people for being stupid, not high and stupid. lol.
