tobacco is regulated because it is difficult to grow ...weed is impossible to regulate ...one small grow room can supply dozens of people for a year, the government tried to ban alcohol ..so i guess you were o.k. with that at the time because they"know better"? alcohol and tobacco kill millions a year, weed has never killed a single person in its long existence...so weed should be even less regulated than those harmful drugs.
