Pretty much sounds like as soon as they know who a patient is they are putting them on a list to the feds.. This shit needs to get nipped in the bud (pun intended)..

In the town I'm from there was a fucked up police chief like that, but there was a local intervention and he straightened his act up quick.. I guess that's the difference between a small town that's close knit and a city where everyone is clueless..

They are doing it with anyone that they identify as being a medical marijuana patient for whatever reason. Be it a traffic stop where they show the card to excuse their meds or whatever. If they determine someone has a card they are turning it over to the FBI. This is wrong on so many levels.

For what it's worth, if you read the comments section below the article on MLive the journalist that posted the story followed up with the police chief to see if they were reporting ALL medical marijuana patients, and the chief said they have only turned over the info of the people that were in violation of the act.

The obvious question would be: How do they know a person is in violation of the act without a proper trial?

Fair enough, but do we just take the word of any cop? What if you were driving around with an ounce, and the cops decided it was 3 ounces and reported you? How are you going to prove them wrong without a fair trial?

If you get a lying cop..well, that sucks. Gotta hope the one that you are dealing with is a honest one.
