hoods are universal, meaning you can run w/e sized bulb in it that you have the correct sized ballast for...![]()
you guys might know...
Had a guy give me a hood/refelctor - was going to go out and buy a ballast and bulb soon
BUT i look inside the fixture you screw the bulb into and it says
600v
2000w
..is there such a thing? or is that it's maximum load?
i'm confuzzled and i don't want to buy a 1000 want ballast and bulb; if they will not fit/work correctly.
thanks for any info and help
That is just the max rating of the socket/lamp cord. Most all of the wires in your house are rated to 600 volts.
nice - i had never seen the 2000w before. well that is sweet, so then why are there no 1500w or higher bulbs? heat issues? too big? lol
1500 watts would be over kill comming from one hood in my eyes! Heat would be awhole nother issue
And there are 1500w lights as well. Way too much heat coming from those things !
Wow, I'm shocked that they make anything larger than 1000w.

I guess these are for those ladies that can take that EXTRA penetration![]()
Well said Glad!! All the closet hookers need more penetration. In that case fire up the 1500 watts
