5 months, still no card. Would you start growing without it?

So it has been almost 5 months since they cashed my check and I still do not have the actually card. I have read an email response from the state saying that some law enforcement might not accept the paper work w/cashed check. Whats my play here? Call the local cop shop and ask them if everything thing is cool? Doesn't seem like a smart thing to do but if they do not consider my paper work as legal card then I am a fool for starting. Anyone here dealt with this issue?

You were legal 21 days after the check was cashed. Don't call the cops on yourself. The cops don't make the laws. If you were arrested it would get thrown out.

In this world I wouldn't bank on he would be 100% clear and free. However though yes you could of started 21 days after the cashed check. The way i see it is if you were to get busted for something would have had to draw attention to yourself. Think about all the illegal growers out there that don't get busted because they know how to avoid attention that could compromise the secrecy of the garden. So as long as you can keep it quiet and follow basic common sense rules about transporting equipment and making sure know one catches a hint of what your doing. Those are things you would hopefully be doing anyways when you receive your hard card. Then again it's just personal preference if you want to start without you can but if you'd feel better waiting then more power to you. Do what you feel mis right for you cause only you know the situation you are in when it comes to the other aspects of your life.

I waited a little over my 21 days - and have just started mine - well, kind of a test run -- having some issues but that's why I joined here - You can get alot of very useful information!

if you plan on being small and growing just for yourself, i dont see a problem with calling the cops and telling them you are growing. I did and they thanked me and that was that I havent seen yet at my front door. but i also try and stay within the law and not be stupid.

When I mailed my paper work in I knew it would be a few months before I could get everything set up and ready to go. The plan was to wait until I got the card just to be on the safe side. But this is getting ridiculous. At this rate I might have to renew my card before it even shows up.

I plan on having only 6 plants and a few clones ever going at once. No messing around, just personal and well within the limit. Thank you all for the feedback. Guess its time to crack some beans.

too many answers without knowing his city. at least county. if your in livonia, i wouldnt. your in ann arbor, go ahead. see, when (IF) you get raided, regardless iif you have hard plastic cards or not, they call in to the mmmp and check how many plants you can have. therefore technically, if you know they cashed the check. your good to go.

when i was raided i had four hard cards and only like 15 plants or some shit. they still called in to see how many of my cards were valid.

You were legal four months ago. I would never let anyone know you're growing even though your legal, and especially don't let the cops or your city know it's begging to be harassed.
