how SHOULD the law be amended?

tis just a theory though. I believe that that will and should be an issue when the law is amended.

Overages too. We need a no limit like Cali. This will bring down the price of meds for everyone. It is too hard to stay legal with 2.5 ounces. If they rose the limits and we could hold on too our overages we would not need to constantly be growing. Thus saving us money and electricity to help stay a little greener to mother earth.

If nothing else the no limit thing would help reduce greenhouse gases... the less electric I use the less is needed. Let me hold on to my pot. I am legal anyway.
It would be kind of nice to be able to cure the product before use as well...

It is hard to change the thinking when the rule of a few bad eggs ruin the batch is constant. You must all agree that many of the current growers give many of us growers a bad overall name.QUOTE]

Agreed hic...had to go to the VA so I looked up a dispensary in Ann Arbor to ck prices and see how things were operating. Wont mention the name but it was a nice brick building. Checked my card...nice lounge, etc. Went to the back and they had the usual strains, but I instantly got pissed.
Bubba Kush (fancy jar) $28.00 gram, Oz was $525.
The attendent knew I was a little more aware then when I said these prices are robbery, answer, "I know what you mean", when I asked how you justify these prices the answer I got was, "I just work here, I don't set price".

Our movement is being destroyed from within by greed making it harder on the rest of us, I noticed this from the begining.

Lots of the stuff being sold as meds sucks...it's being grown by people who are only concentrating on yield, speed of finish and profitability..not quality. It's why I grow my own. I let my overages go at 150 oz...mostly to cover the cost of the grow. 2 600's, ac, dehumidifier, fans...another 200watts in veg room, co2.

Growing right isn't cheap...and growing cheap isn't right

One way to end greed is put a salary cap on what you pay an ounce as well. $100 a ounce is all the dispensary should be able to pay. They are infact just extras anyway are they not?

I wish for the law to amend crooked caregivers.

There should probably be a cap on what the dispensaries can SELL for..

I'm not sure the way to bring clairity to a so called confusing law is to throw away two hundred years of capitalism.
The laws of supply and demand still work, and need not be amended.
When the time comes that medicine gets so costly that an industry is needed to bankroll your drug purchases (health insurance)
we can then revisit the price issue.
If 100 billion in pharmaceutical profits tells you anything, it's that writing an affordable medicine clause into the law
is the last thing the government is worried about.
What should be amended is the governments definition of words like representation, majority, will (of the people)
and finally, freedom.

I do think the law needs some work. All the caregivers I know dont give two craps about thier patients. They just want to grow as much as possible to make money. Everybody is just money hungry and using the medical marijuana system to make thousands. Now, is that right?? Of course if your the one getting rich it is!! LOL

Yup..most care givers want to give 1oz of free meds per month, in exchange for your 12 plants...lets see...5 patients...60 plants..good rotation on crops..harvest 20 plants a month. 20 plants at moderate yields.. 35 oz's a month minus 5 for the patients...30 oz's at $200 wholesale...72,000 a year...minus growing expenses.....

Now I grow my own, so I do understand that there is some substantial cost and time involved in growing quality meds..but not that much...

Yup, there is alot of hard work involved to make those profits, and I do beleive they worked hard and earned that money, but is it right??

Problem is that the caregivers are not really caregivers yet more parasitic then anything. The ones the were meant for this do not do it for the money... We do it cause we loved to grow pot before the law was made and we love to help people. The application for being a caregiver should ask can you love someone other then your self? Should ask.. are you O.K. with doing with without?

A caregiver... You know what I just thought of something. I am a caregiver and I am starting to get mad that I am in a class with many of them?

I move to set in motion that we have a new class of caregivers. Ones that do not share the titile caregiver. I wish not to be known as any of them anymore. From this day foreward all real caregivers will be known in the state of Michigan as Givers Of Care.

I will no longer be a caregiver, that was short lived eh! I am a Giver of Care. I cannot bring myself to share their title any longer, so I will not be. It is that easy and is already done.

This is where the movement got in trouble. Greedy dispensarys set the tone, but for the life of me I cant figure out how the AG who was the leader of the anti-coalition in 2008 now dictates law about the MMP. He has an agenda, wants this law apealled...he should lose his position because of conflict of interest.

Bottom line hic we failed to police ourselves. Now isnt the time to point fingers, its time to lobby. We are 80,000+ stong Latest poll has voters minds unchanged, leaning more towards legalization. 61% of voters said they would still vote for law, as is.

This is good to hear TDM!

We as givers of care need to set standards at which greed cannot compete with.

They have no role model except for rap and what they see on T.V., they knew how to grow but caregiving was never an option.

This group of the marijuana people have no leadership and from what I see I am not sure if I would want it. Damned if we Do Damned if we Don't.

The law should amend salary caps. If it is too terribley expensive to grow in the wittle hydro system, grow in dirt. It is as easy as A,B,C,. No one said you had to grow the way you do....It is your Choice.

In order for people like me to shine the Law must be amended that sets my right to sell paient to patient in stone.

Amend the law patient to patient totally legal. Amend that that transaction is at a salary cap. Amend the law that enables the peoples choice.

Destroy the monopoly that is being created so fast by them investors with a sonic boom from the people. Give the Givers of Care time change what has happened. We never got our chance and I believe the foundation that is being built as we speak is no good.

Back awhile ago the use of marijuana for medicine was thought to enable the less fortunate. Those who did not have insurance, those who did not have a job, those who had no money.... THIS IS WHAT IT WAS TO BE in the start. But what has it become? Tell me what just has it BECOME?.

Give me and people like me the ability to make it how it was to be when it was a "clean idea". Give the people the power but yet let there be a chain so that the power does not whisk them away like before.

It seems as if morality crusaders infest that office. Wasn't assistant attorney general and suspected self hating homophobe Andrew Shirvel fired from there? It shows you the type of person desired to work in that office. Closeminded intolerent dicks with superiority complex issues.
But then again, that's just my opinion

I go grocery shopping for one of my patients and I think that's the point. To help people in need. My overages go to a dispensary but as one dude said it's supply and demand. The business' that are priced to high don't shop there. It's your job to know what kind of strain your looking for. I grow specifically for what my patients need. The peeps at the dispensaries are usually clueless. Research goes along way. And to the dude that said you can't get Oxys without med records is completely wrong why do these docs keep getting busted for having pill mills.

The smell the resin the crystals the look is all I have ever needed. None of you guys wanna go there. I will make you all feel dumb.

Yes and we must also rely on gps now instead of a map. The farther you guys go the dumber we get. I will give up on all of ya if you guys have to rely on a fucking lab test to tell you if the fucking pot is good.... I must admit I am not very happy with what you guys do.

Half of what you read and see about marijuana is marketing you little brats. There is more money in telling you guys how to grow the pot then there is in the pot itself. I am damn glad I am a black sheep or I would be right along with the masses sounding like a retart.

You know I am not sorry if I hurt anyones feelings cause if what I write hurts your feelings that means you are the scum of marijuana.

Let me take a magnifying glass and look at my dick for a minute.... shit no crystals must not be a good dick after all.
So true! I bet people would shit if they took some of that mexican brick shit weed to a lab and tested it.. Smoked that shit for years...

Who needs a lab test? You cant tell if your weed is moldy? If you're really so worried about the chemical makeup of the weed you get you might want to try some marinol or something...

I wish the law to be amended so that people with mental issues like depression and a few severe others are added to the list of illness that qualify. I am surprised that they did not make the first round. Needless to say let's make it availible for more people.

There was one more I thought about today...? can't remember yet.

I do know for a fact that people of the mental community have been looked over. Please take a look at them as well.

"Care givers need to be held responsible for "overages".. The vast majority of people seeking care giver status simply want to profit on the overages created. Come on now..if youv'e got 5 people on your card, and have 60 plants going...tell me with a straight face you don't have significant overages. No way possible that 5 people can use the product of that many plants.
I'm not saying that a profit shouldn't be made for the effort...I'm simply saying that records need to be kept..taxes need to be paid..it should be treated like any other business."

I love this, I have been saying this for a long time now. I wish everyone would just act like it is a business so that the feds will make there money and shut up. Its all about money to them. DONT tell them every penny you make just make it believable.
