My AK48's just passed 9 weeks today...one smells like Pinesol, the other one Gojo (you know, the hand cleaner). Ain't nothin' horrible about either of those smells!
I cut down two plants last night...both had hollow stems (Peyote Purple, Critical). My last run, cut down two plants, one had a hollow stem(Blubonic). Shall I continue?
Hollow stems are common as fuck. The end.
You want:
A fan that approaches but does not exceed the 190 CFM rating of the filter (a bit noisier, but cheaper)...
-OR-
A fan that exceeds the filter rating, but uses a fan controller to reduce speed/CFM (quieter, but more expensive).
This is the exact filter I run. Installed correctly, it takes the stink out of ANYTHING. I have a skunky Critical+ in my tent now that will absolutely RUIN the air quality of the room when I open the tent, but with the tent kept closed, no odor at all. I trust Phresh with my life and freedom.
There's a learning curve moving from CFL to HPS. Been there done that -> got substandard results with my first HPS grow. Dial that HPS grow in (and hone your HPS growing skills) and *THEN* tell us how CFL trumps HPS.
Hollow stems are perfectly normal. In fact, DJ Short says hollow stems are an indicator of a desirable plant. My own findings have confirmed this theory.
If you're in a non-med state/country, choose one of the following: 1) A good carbon filter attached to an appropriately sized fan, or 2) A very good lawyer.
Your choice.
THE RULES:
1) No Tell
2) No Smell
3) No Sell
