I'm pretty sure. After all the reading etc. A 180 watt light for a 4x4 space, and several plants. The light was a mixed spectrum, not enough red to help build dense buds. I've got some clones in there now with abunch of 2700k cfl's and I can already tell the difference.

I got those, plus some cheap drivers.. So assuming the manufacturer is 50 percent right.. That's 250 watts of somewhat efficient light for 80 dollars Canadian, add a heat sink etc for maybe 15, and 50 watts for 30 bucks, canadian... Can you really go wrong??? Especially since i'll just replace...

I paid 100 bucks for a 300 watt, chinese made led, and you can see the results.. I had good soil, followed direction and i think i'm doing ok on the big plant i topped once.. the 300 watts is only 210 watts.. I plan on upgrading this and buying a second tent, but it was veg under 6 cfl's

it's an LED light.. it's downward focusing. The cfl's were for veg, not flower..

I'm thinking 6 3k's would put out a lot more lumen than the Mars II which i believe is rated at 24k from 12 or 18 inches.. I just liked the specs of that chip, lot's of lumen, which i know isn't the idea measurement. I've also thought about vero 29's or cxa 3070's.. That's why i'm open to...
