it just depends on your company man. where i live it is required to give 24 hours notice before anyone comes in with out you being there.
i dont know what state you are in so the laws might be different. we dont have fire inspections where i live either.

a lot of the questions that concern you are circumstantial and you wont know until the moment comes up.
