you want metal Halide for vegging 18 hrs on 6 hrs off HPS for flowering 12 on 12 off if it hasn't come threw the dirt yet no need for light and far enough away from the tops not to burn them. there is a lot of good stuff in the beginner forums. i am no expert at all but just reading...

i kinda wanted to stay away from them because of the heat issues. i dont really have any where to vent. Or can i just vent into the room? wont i just be recirculating hot air if i do that? Maybe i can just put some sort of walls up and cantain the light a little more like that. Has any one done...

I have a 600w Mh for vegging and a 600w HPS for flowering. Its a electronic ballast that can switch out the bulbs

thats what i was thinking.. i have a six spot hydro set up going. i just didnt know if there was any advantages using a tent at all.

my question is do i really need a grow tent?? i have a unused bedroom thats about 10' x 14'. its light tight and nobody goes around it at all. i guess im really just looking to see if there is any advantage at all for using a tent like set up.

I am using ff nutes with RO water. My question is do i need to add anything else to the water?? I have read in some forums i would need to add calmag, is this true. any other advise would be great as well. and what is the ideal ph range??
