Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

Thanks seamaiden, I assume the purpose of LST is to produce a greater yeild, am I correct? I'll do a search and find your thread. Thanks for the explaination... It helps alot... SS :blsmoke:

Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

I went through them all. Very cool. What caused the leaf curl in your early sproutlings? Also, what is LST short for? (Sorry for my ignorance here)

Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

I know plants are watered once a week or so, but how often do you water sprouts? It seems like the soil in the cups dry-up every two to three days. Maybe my temp and humidity gage isn't working correctly and it's hotter in the grow tub than it should be? That might account for the need to...

Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

Thanks for the help Mane. The plants are about three inches below the lights...The temp is about 83 on average. I think I overwatered them two days ago, but I just checked them all again and my moisture meter says they are dry, so I watered them all again just now. I'm using 8 of the bulbs...

Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

Yes, I poked 4 small holes in the sides of the cups. They're very small, how big should they be? Here's what they look like this morning:

Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

Thanks Bro... I suspect the leave curling is from over-watering, but they are close to the CFL lights. Could that be causing the problem? Also, the leaves are reaching in an extreme way towards the lights, even though they are only two inches away from the lights, I'm not sure why...

Leaves are "Canoeing" -- Too Much Water?

Hi all, I'm two weeks into a rubbermaid grow. For some reason the leaves are slightly curling inward. Is this a symptom of overwatering? Temp 83 degrees, humdity around 30%, I gave them a generous watering two days ago. I'm using Miracle Grow soil (I know, I know, I shoud have stayed...

Basic Checklist for a Rubbermaid Grow

I read through the 101 questions and I also did a search, but I couldn't find a basic (one-page) checklist to follow for my indoor "rubbermaid" grow. I finally have 20 sprouts growing in my rubbermaid tub. It would really help to have a basic checklist to go by. Anyone knowledgeable enough to...

Are these dwarf seeds or underdeveloped seeds?

Those "large brown seeds" are half the size of a normal seed. I'm trying to figure out if they are fully developed or just "midget seeds." I'll try germinating them anyway and see what happens. I should only need to wet the paper towel once, correct? Also it should only take three days or so...

Are these dwarf seeds or underdeveloped seeds?

Can anyone tell if these are adult (but small) seeds or if they are just immature and underdeveloped seeds. Also, why do some people have hangups with going straight to soil? Thanks :joint: P.S. Oh yeah, anyone think these tiny seeds will sprout and grow?
