3000K or 3500K for flowering only (or 3000+5000 mix)

@ttystikk Did you ever figure out how you were going to lay out your UV poker chips? I have been looking at these for the last few days just to play with.... I have been thinking one 30W Cree Epidled (notice the UV), two IR, and (6) 660nm on a APC-25-500. What do you guys think...

    DIY led grow

Thanks for replying... I have seen those in local dept. stores. That is a really good idea. I want to have just one power cord from my light and then plug it into a multi slot extension cord if need be though. Thanks

    DIY led grow

@Positivity or anyone willing to help. I have tried my own research and cant seem to find anything on a dang ON/OFF switch. I saw a guy say he preferred the toggle over the rocker style that you use on your DIYs somewhere in this thread... that is why I'm asking here. I have been searching...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

If I understand ALESH's response to my question correctly you can add a bucking to the power of a Meanwell APV 12-12, but you are better off using a APV 12-12 for your fans and a Meanwell APC 12-700 for the monos. A bucking driver off the ELG will blow. You should have 14 extra volts left to max...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Thank you for replying.... I truly thought I was simplifying things by connecting 3 drivers into 2 WAGOS and having only one main 14 gauge power cord to the wall. I was concerned that the smaller APV, APC, bucking drivers couldn't take power straight from the wall like the HLG can. Thanks to you...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Thanks for replying....I'm looking to avoid using a phone or computer charger cable to power my fans and some monos. I'm wondering if I can connect the APV to a HLG power supply using a WAGO connector without any problems? I have the same question about connecting a bucking driver to a HLG using...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

If a guy was to use an Meanwell APV 12-12 to run 4 CPU fans or even 4 mono stars.... can you WAGO connect that driver to lets say the power cord of a 185-1400 without blowing it up? I was wondering the same thing about a small bucking driver that could run monos? I see alot of people use old...

What do I need for my DIY COB??

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I have an easy question that could be helpful. If a guy was to use an Meanwell APV 12-12 to run 4 CPU fans or even 4 mono stars.... can you WAGO connect that driver to lets say the power cord of a 185-1400 without blowing it up? I was wondering the same...

    Matching Drivers and COBs

@SupraSPL did you update your matching-drivers-and-cobs chart with the new HLG-240s on it? I swear I saw it somewhere, but can't seem to find it.

    Slappy's Perpetual LED Hack Discussion

The 9 minute mark is the recipe you follow to the tee. From the looks of the pictures I would say you could possibly run one COB passively on the two and maybe the third biggest one. The two smaller ones look like they would need to be actively cooled. I'm no expert and I'm just guessing based...

    Slappy's Perpetual LED Hack Discussion

I think Gromau5's DIY series on Youtube about choosing a heatsink should answer your question. around the 9 minute mark should help.
