    what do you not understand about algae photosythesises to grow? even if you kill it with bleach it will return because of the light. good luck my man!

    doesnt matter, if water sits its not good. if you can circulate the pumps without feeding the plants that would be fine just move the water. still water is a home for disease.

    Alge will continue to grow unless you cut off the light to that area. airstones will only help algae grow faster if the light situation is not fixed. algae grows just like plants, meaning they neeed o2, h,n,p,k all that good stuff. if the environment is good for you plants it will def be good...

    woods is correct you don't need those bottom leaves just take care of the problem, I usually dont even bother messing with dying leaves they will fall off eventually.
