Sorry its been a while. The ballast gets a bit warm to warm/hot but is VERY quite and starts fast the bulb that was included it bright as hell. I mounted the ballast to my concrete so I'm not worried about the heat. Other then that I'm SUPER impressed with the product! Two bulbs, ballast...
