Organics are so easy I'm not sure how so many have problems. The easiest way is to prepare your soiless mix a month or two in advance by using: 5 parts peat, 3 parts perlite, 2 parts earthworm castings and add to that dolomite lime at 2 tbs. per gallon. Then use that to start your plants in for...
I have been kicking around an idea that I am wanting to attempt with T-5's. The problem with floro's is airy low yield buds. The smoke is still great just very low yielding. But my idea is to grow a bunch of tiny plants. Then the light doesn't have to penetrate but like 6 inches. It isn't...
This document comes in handy for me when deciding these things. Personally I would run a 175 watter on a mover.

I was going to comment until I saw how old this thread is. But yeah he should of germinated his seed in a paper towel or something before putting it in rockwool upside down.
I would just get the drops to test PH because it's the cheapest. It is usually like a test kit with a solution you put into a test vial with your water and they come with a color chart to compare to.
I've never had success with putting them under a 400watter sooner than 8 days and even then I work them in slowly. Anyway they will soon tell you if it is too early when the leaves fold up.
Just an idea but I notice my seedlings that look like that are the ones that get over-watered the most. I would cut back slightly on the frequency you water until the root development catches back up. If they start to bend at the stem and the leaves droop then you went to far the other way and...
So it's insanely hot outside where I live right now and will change to 12/12 light soon. My 6 hour dark period is currently in the middle of the night and I want to have my dark period for flower to be during the hot part of the day to help with temps. What would be the least stressful way of...
My setup is small so I can get by with just using two 5 gallon water cooler jugs that I fill up at the grocery store's RO machine when I change my res.
Have you had good grows in your setup before using that tap water? I found it easier to use reverse osmosis water and use PH up and PH down and a bottle cal/mag from a hydro store. It gives me piece of mind though it may not be your problem, I just prefer to know exactly what my plants are...
