Well...I meant at the time it was being charged by the battey charger and not the alternator (since the car wasn't running). Glad you got it figured out and very glad you weren't hurt.

I had it happen to me, but I was driving the car. Just heard a big THUD under the hood. Got home and found a cracked battery with acid everywhere. It may just be a defect in the battery, in your case, since it was hooked to the charger and not your car when it exploded.

Great info guys...thank you! I've never seen a grow store around here...so its not an option :-| I have a feeling this friend will have reservations about having it delivered to his house. No business address either. Maybe I'm just being way to paranoid over a simple thing.
