Figure I'd update this. Both plants were male. Epic fail :( Only took about three days to show the pollen sacks forming, boy was that a sad day... I did get some mylar off of ebay, so I'm all set if I want to have another round of heartbreak some day ;)

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep my eyes peeled for mylar or some nice flat white poly plastic. I looked in my CRC handbook and it says aluminum is only about 75% reflective to (what it calls) "incandescent" light, I guess they mean visible light. I'll grab some nice bright printer paper until...

they do look droopy, but they're firm. I think it was from growing in the heat for a couple weeks (from me practically encasing them in foil). I water a cup every other day abouts, basically dig my finger down an inch or so and see if I pull out with any dirt on it to determine moisture.

I had my 42 watt CFL about an inch away from the tops of my plants and scorched them both. Backed it up to three inches just to be safe. Check em twice a day, so adjustments can be made. You can see this is where I just noticed the burn and lifted the lights a hair. Sorry for the crappy...
