Sometimes I add alcohol to my essential oil soap sprays. Olbas peppermint oil mixed with dr bronners peppermint hemp soap and a tad bit of iso. Wipes out everything including horseflies and wasps outside.

No, there’s other ways to strain just something I had from a gift. This coffee filter won’t rip as it’s just a paper disk behind a screw on retainer. Bubble bags work good maybe I’ll even make a reusable filter disk for the press with one.

Yes some plastics may degrade and leach into final product with strong volatile chemicals. This coffee press is hard, heat resistant and BPA free. Seems it should hold up against grain alcohol. From what I read fresh plant ok if u decarb first and keep frozen for whole processes
