I injected 1cc or so into the jars, covering 3 with micro-pore tape and foil, and the other 3 with just the foil to experiment. I used a sponge soaked in 91% alcohol over the holes and stuck the needle through the sponge into the hole to inject. Some had gotten injected a bit high on the jars, but still deep enough.
