I went to water my plants this morning, i grow indoors in 4x4 ft grow beds, and discovered a small wild mushroom growing out of the topsoil. Im sure its possible that there could be some dormant mushroom spores in the soil that i bought but i have never seen or heard of anyone having this happen.

I was lead to believe the same thing. I use the small boy carbon filter and when i presented this question concerning chloramine killing my microbes to the guys at the local grow store. they had an aftermarket filter that you can use with your existing filter that eliminates any chlorimines.
