Why do you need the covers to be removable? If you are afraid of possible clogged sprayer heads you should use filters at the top of the drain, entrance to reservoir and when you pour the water and nutes into the reservoir pour it through a filter. Have you checked what that seal is made out...

As long as you mix the nutrients correctly, check the PH and set the grow light correctly and you will do fine.
