Try it some time, i grow tomatoes, lemon cucumbers, i have a apple tree that grows 5 different apples at a time but what you missing is growing in mother earth is alot different then growing in a pot...... Learn to grow bro and i promise you will be happy... it makes a HUGE difference.

Can't really tell without pics, but at first guess i would say you have stretching going on which is a common noob mistake by having your lights far away from the plant, but again can't tell for sure without pics and basic info like age, medium, lighting ect ect.

telling someone not to check PH when they have no clue what ph the water source is, they have no clue what nutes and amount of nutes you are using which will also effect the ph is just simply moronic.

I use 100% perlite and yes you will have to check your ph, it doesnt matter what medium you use, PH will make or break your grow with hempy.

No need to use HPS till you are in flower.
