I am growing purple kush under LED and I have spotty looking leaves... Usually theleaves ae dark dark green almost purple, but now they are developing little spots all over them. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem / soultion is??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I don't think this light is the same, it says its the worlds first "hybrid" 5 spectrum led and that it uses 1w and 3w leds and allows you to control the spectrum and time cycles. I bought a 90w ufo from ebay and it has only 1w leds and 2 spectrums with no timer or controls... If anyone out there...

You can get a brand new 1000W hps on discountgrowbulbs[.]com for $50. Personally I just opted to go with a 600W with a good digital aballast over the 1000W. The light output is pretty much the same, less power and way less heat.

Hey thanks for the tip, I noticed that discountgrowbulbs.com sells Philips 1000W HPS for $35. I think I am going to give it a try, that is pretty much dirt cheap. On another note, I was talking to a friend and he said that because my room is only 4' high that I shouldn't go with 1000s because...

Thanks worldsandreams, I just checked craigslist and all I could find in my area is used and looks pretty beat up... I'm not trippin' just on a limited budget. Maybe I should start smaller and get what I need to get the job done right and expand later... say in 8-10 weeks ;) Pat

Sure lummens are a big factor but don't forget to consider the spectrum as well nutes etc... There are many arguments, personally I opt for MH for veg and HPS for flower but have seen bigger yields with less lummens from led's. Best advice is to work with what you have available to you and learn...
