    What size duct?

I have an 8" 750 cfm. I wanted to know if I needed 8" duct or if I need to go 9" and clamp or tape it? Also I will be venting to attic so I wanted to know when I put the hole going to the attic if I can make it a 4" and just get a reducer say 8" to 4" or will that back things up trying to push...

    Intake and exhaust

I just ordered my Inline Fan and I bought a Hurricane Inline Fan 8"inch 745 CFMd I go to order my Filter and I notice it says Phresh Intake Filter... Got me thinking... So I think it is a knockoff it is almost $100 cheaper than the other Phresh Filters I saw. I can't believe people try and...

    Intake and exhaust

If I run a 8"x16" rated at 750 cfm and I run a 745 cfm fan on half speed, will the filter still work properly or would I need to get a smaller filter to compensate having to turn the speed of the fan down? Also If I ended up with heat problems and had to turn the fan up I would be pulling too...

    Intake and exhaust

Do you think it would be too much fan and filter? I was thinking just turn the fan down but I dont know if the filter would still work if I did that? I am sure I would not have to run the fan on high 24/7 but will the filter work with the fan only pulling half or low settings??? Point of going...

    Intake and exhaust

I think I am going to get either the 6" x 16" 750 cfm filter, the 10x12 700 cfm, or the 8x16 700 cfm. Will a 720 or 745 cfm inline fan work here or do I need to go bigger if i get the 6x16 750 cfm? Do you think these are overkill? I just want to make sure there is no smell. And how are the...

    Intake and exhaust

Sounds good. I think with a new intake though instead of getting intake from the attic as well maybe pull fresh air from under the house? This was my original thought. Thanks

    Intake and exhaust

Thinking more on this, what about making an exhaust in the ceiling to the attic have my ducked run from the room to the attic where I mount my fan and filter. The ONLY thing I don't know if it is a problem or not is having to push the air through the filter to be scrubbed. It would be outside...

    Leaking light

I have a couple of points where the light is leaking inside the closet. I hooked up my light to test it and walked outside into the hallway and I can see the light penetrating through where we have the HVAC box installed. Anyway I went back and caulked it and it mostly fixed it except a few...

    Electrical Questions

I hooked up the light just to test it and it seems to run fine. I also have my pc and tv hooked up and everything seems to be good. I only ran it for an hour to see how hot it would get and it jumped from 77 to 85 in the closet with no ventilation and fan hooked up yet... There are no grounds on...
