You could convert the light fixture to a recepticle box & plug into that depending on how much other stuff is on that line. Or just run a new dedicated 20anp line from your fuse-box & put the electricity where you need it.

skm - The DIY muffler i made was based on the fact that most 6" commercial mufflers were 24" & i had some 36" x 1/2" welded hardware cloth from HD that i used instead. Figured that longer was better. I just made a 6" roll of it & inserted it into a piece of 8" galvanized duct that i cut to fit...

Flat white paint is way better, easier, cheaper & doesn't make noise like mylar does when you blow a fan on it. Forget mylar - a complete pita to install & hard to clean when you need to disinfect if you get the Borg.

T5's can be used for the entire grow - lotsa people flower with them & produce great buds. 4100K is a bit warm so I'd get some 6500K bulbs to keep the stretching down. I always use 3 blue (6500K) & 1 red (3000K) during veg & the opposite for flower. I have a 2' 4 bulb T5 right next to my 400W...

Well, first, they weren't that expensive (2 for $72 inc ship), but my dream light is a 400w CMH in a SS Supersun2 hood. Growing in a triangular space forces all the heat up to the top of the room really fast, so the exhaust/temp situation has got to figure into the purchase of any HID light...
