Master grower just means in my opinion a seasoned grower. Someone who has failed and learned many times. When your knowledge grows into wisdom. When you are able to identify and learn as well as teach others from your experiences, like Mr. Miagi from Karate Kid.

Both are good options in getting CO2. Obviously not as good as a sealed room with a CO2 ppm control, but they do work. I would focus more on becoming a master grower and then add CO2. What I am saying is grow for a while and try to get a consistent product and then add CO2.

Yes use CO2 throughout. it is absolutely worth it in a cash crop.

50 watts is the minimum requirement for cannabis. But if you have a par/micromole meter the results speak for themselves. Remember regardless of the wattage every bulb is different and the bulb/ballast degrade over time. I just replaced a 1000mh because the par/micromole value was diminished.
