The experiment gets more interesting if you put a plant in both. All unused photons bounce off the plant and become heat energy, some exits the plant through transpiration in water droplets. Only the photons that actually drive photosynthesis and get stored as sugars are removed, and of those...

Here you go bud: Transpiration serves to evaporatively cool plants, as the evaporating water carries away heat energy due to its large latent heat of vaporization of 2260 kJ per litre. Just because you are aware of something does not mean you understand it.

It has been explained on this sub forum dozens of times but here's a quick refresher.... Both 600w luminaires put out 600w of heat. It's just a matter of when those watts turn into heat that varies. In an LED tent or room all of the light you produce will convert to heat once it hits enough...

Obviously too late now....but in the future, Digikey is generally good about sending replacements if your package gets damaged by the shipping goons. I have only ever ordered 2ft strips for this reason. Easier to ship without damaging, easier to hit the minimum order quantity for the volume...
