What would you like to see in a new hydroponics system?

Next thing to do would be to monitor water temp to see how much heat 10 watts of pumps add after an average room temp startup..

No need to worry about an air pump adding anything to the water, if you filter the air. This type of filter will remove just about everything. This is the air pump I use; a little double-sided tape will attach it to the pump.. No restrictions and no added load to the air pump..

    Why hydro?

The question is " Why Hydro", not why is automation in hydro better. If you have an understanding of what you're trying to accomplish, it may well be.. For the 52% of Americans in the USA who can't read at a sixth-grade level, simple hydro is very easy and very effective. Almost all humans...

New passive DWC sytem/ first hydro grow… lots of questions???

Forget about the way an 8 WF setup that pumps water thru the buckets from the reservoir using a pumping column in the reservoir... That pumping column in a WF reservoir is the same as in a drip ring.. Thats why the flow rate is so slow in an 8 WF setup.. That job is now done by the dripring in...

New passive DWC sytem/ first hydro grow… lots of questions???

Each bucket is also connected to a common return.. The water column in each bucket contains reservoir water.. The column it...

New passive DWC sytem/ first hydro grow… lots of questions???

The dripring is an air driven water pump.. A GH dripring will pump about 5-6 gal an hour.. It will be drawn from the reservoir not from the grow bucket.. It may be that the simplicity of the process that's confusing.. RDWC doesn't need a river of water running thru it.. This slow circulation...

New passive DWC sytem/ first hydro grow… lots of questions???

It uses the drip ring.. The drip ring sits in a 3/4" pvc water column, and that water column is connected to the reservoir.. This column is higher than the water level in the reservoir and the grow bucket.. The grow bucket is also connected to the reservoir with a return line.. When the drip...
