i fear the screen will cause too quick of a dry. i like to leave the plant in tact (trimmed of course) and hang it. which is what i think you mean by line drying. helps it to dry slower. however it will be getting humid soon enough.

buy some floramite on ebay. just dont over do it or spray on too small of a plant.

my vortex is quieter than my cheesy htg fan i can say that from experience. i double wrap mine with duct insulation also. and fan speed controller is a must

well it is an $80 dollar fan. after all the mods to make it quiet you will have spent the 150 for a good one
