That's a matter of debate for some growers. You won't have problems going with either one the whole way through. Still.. which one will provide the best end result? You're going to have to make an educated guess. My mentor ran 24/0 for veg every time with good results. I'm now running 18/6...

Definitely block the light from coming through the sides of the container. The first set of leaves are called the cotyledon. Gently remove the shell; the seedling will push it off eventually anyways it'll just use more energy to do it without your help. Looks fine. That sometimes happens...

That's what I keep reading. I have autos going myself. With the first 9 I started them in party cups and just transplanted them into their final pots last night. With the ones that I'm planting now I'm going straight into their final pots.
