Those hand crank trimmers are junk and beat the hell out of your crystals. If you have a really huge grow then use something like the fan setup. Otherwise you should just get electric scissors to help speed it up and just put the extra hours in.

I've seen this in the past with herms that pollenated too. It seemed like the drops sometimes swell from where seeds were picked.

If u have a ton of mites you can use a vacuum hose with no attachment to remove a lot of them. There should be no issue with smoking mites though.
