thanks for all of the replies. I will be running around 600W of diy LED along with some fans and dehumidifier. I have had a number of failures over the years with the Lowes, HD heavy duty timers.. (Toggle type). I am thinking safety and reliability (in that order). I can't check up on it...

I have looked over those data sheets. I have only touched on electrical concepts in my two semesters of physics with calculus in 1978. So please forgive my Noob type questions. In the data sheet I see the efficiency (percent) vs. load (percent) graph. So if load is impedance or resistance...

Is there any penalty running the HLG drivers at less than max current output? For example is the efficiency significantly affected by running the 1.4A driver at 0.7A?

Do you get the Vf for this calculation from the Cree CXA3070 data sheet graph or do you have another source? I was under the impression it was the sum of the Vf in a series that would determine the necessary driver. @ 1400mA and at 1050mA the CXA will have around 37 and 38 Vf...
