    Timer Recommendations

thanks for all of the replies. I will be running around 600W of diy LED along with some fans and dehumidifier. I have had a number of failures over the years with the Lowes, HD heavy duty timers.. (Toggle type). I am thinking safety and reliability (in that order). I can't check up on it...

    Timer Recommendations

Hi all you RIU guys; Topic is the best timer systems for your grow. I did a few searches here and I am unable to come up with a thread that thoughtfully discusses timers. I thought of posting in a more general thread; but I have noticed that this subforum often (not always) maintains a high...

    DIY LED CONSTRUCTION LINKS

I was thinking that it is too easy to lose the best DIY threads. We can't sticky them all; but perhaps a "Link-o-rama" thread could be stickied to allow for easy reference. Below is a start. Please link your most informative threads so we can better organize. Thanks MrFlux's Step into my Grow...

    Step into my grow room

This must be a sticky. How could it not be. It is too well done to get lost in obscurity. And while we are at it lets get Supra's threads as well. These are wealths of information for the DIY LED user.

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Thanks; I knew I was out of my league. They probably didn't have semiconductors in 78. Thanks guys and have a great day!

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

I have looked over those data sheets. I have only touched on electrical concepts in my two semesters of physics with calculus in 1978. So please forgive my Noob type questions. In the data sheet I see the efficiency (percent) vs. load (percent) graph. So if load is impedance or resistance...

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Is there any penalty running the HLG drivers at less than max current output? For example is the efficiency significantly affected by running the 1.4A driver at 0.7A?

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Thanks! Is your data what you have measured or what you have found on another data sheet? Edit: Found it Thanks!!!!

DiY LEDs - How to Power Them

Do you get the Vf for this calculation from the Cree CXA3070 data sheet graph or do you have another source? I was under the impression it was the sum of the Vf in a series that would determine the necessary driver. @ 1400mA and at 1050mA the CXA will have around 37 and 38 Vf...

    DiY LED - Cree CXA3070

Supra; Once again I want to thank you for sharing your expertise. I am grateful and would love to someday have you and your family over for dinner. I know that the current legal situation would leave this on hold at present; but the invite is there for when the environment is not so threatening...
