    Hypothetical grow notes

Hypothetical grow note..... I planted seeds last night, and a pot plant grew up into the clouds. I climbed it and found a giant castle full of gold coins and fowl riches.

How much LONGER on an OUTDOOR GROW? Pics.

Check your weather forecast, long term and short term. This could be decisive (or divisive) as to your harvest time. They look ready to me...but I like earlier bud....rather than too late. Always harvest sooner, if you expect mold to eventually become a problem. (I'm no expert, just thinking...

What plastics should I use for my greenhouse :)

I bought a greenhouse kit once, 5x8 feet. It was a bolt-together type, with a door and benches. It lasted me more than 10 years, and I re-assembled it several times as I moved. Redwood structure, and wavy shaped ( corrugated) translucent fiberglass. A more expensive option was dual sandwiched...

What plastics should I use for my greenhouse :)

Here's the strange thing.....Commercial farm plastic covering is 6 mil. and often rated for UV resistance, in that it will often last for several years. It contains UV inhibitors. But does that mean It blocks more essential UV to your plants ? You would think so.............but then you wouldn't...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Repeating much of what's here... (success?) story with only a few wigglers, in a humid grow. https://www.rollitup.org/t/small-worms.975902/#post-14475905

    Small worms

(420 rant con't) The good thing was, the occasional caterpillars were the only outdoor pest I encountered during the whole outdoor grow. And they were sparse. No pesticides used during grow. Humid ocean air, lots of sun, but overcast mornings too. (Super Lemon Haze mother, father...

    Small worms

Because of my small personal grow, I was able to take time trimming at harvest, looking closely for pests. If I found a dead/brown area on a bud and small silk, this was an obvious caterpillar, and I'd toss that bud away. From posts above....I never kill typical spiders either. I move them...

    Small worms

My experience.... Tiny organic outdoor grow. 2 plants/phenotypes from the same seed batch, in 12" pots. One plant (early) is fine, the other (late) has a few moth caterpillars at harvest. I've found that the caterpillars will continue eating and pooping as it's drying.....until the buds...

    Something People Ought to Know

Back in the day (1980's) my friends in Humbolt CA always grew organic, and outdoors, in ground.. 10ft high plants...massive yields. Lots of rabbit poo. These days, with indoor containers......I believe soil testing would help a lot, for NPK levels. It's easy to become too nitrogen rich, and if...

Olfaction, infusing selected scents in dried flowers

Is there another term for this ? (read on) I have been experimenting, by storing my dry cannabis along with various flavorful herbs and spices. The dry cannabis flowers will take-on the scent, of whatever is added to a sealed container of both. A google search will reveal a little bit of...

52yo back to smoking flowers, Calif

Learning to grow cannabis at around age 16, taught me how to grow other plants such as veggies and other plants. Green thumb.

52yo back to smoking flowers, Calif

After a 25 year break from cannabis, I'm back.(california doctor recommendation) Interested in 100% organic cannabis medicine. Seems like I may have to grow my own, to get that....reliably. Likes high CBD strains, tested. I'm opinionated, but polite. Look for me to comment on... *organic grows...
