I read somewhere that the plants need flushed with three times the amount of water than the plant pot holds i.e 3ltr pot would get flushed with 9ltrs water but is the method to flush the plant with all this water at once or over a stretch of time.

Personally I love being able to make my own rather than pay for overpriced store bought stuff but not 'cause I save a few bucks but to me it's part of the fun of growing and also I usually end up with a better product than I could buy "purpose built tpo ideally suit my needs" .

Use 5 or 6 cups of sugar in a 1 gallon container, make sure the container has a fitted lid. Add half a gallon of water to the sugar along with a couple of tablespoons of active yeast. Poke a small, pencil-like hole in the lid and place it on top of the container. :peace:
