Get hold of some phosphoric acid when you get your ppm meter man! You don't really want to use aquarium pH down. I would get some hydroponic pH down (phosphoric acid) and start over with new nute solution. An EC meter will allow you to monitor ppm, which is very advisable.

    Dwc Grow Club

Hey all! For some reason I have only just noticed this thread! It's a huge thread, so I don't have time to read it all! I am going to be harvesting my first ever grow soon, and for my first grow I decided to use a DWC bucket. I am growing a Psychosis x Donk, and have tested a little of...

    need some 250w hps info

I have 1 plant (more like a tree) under a 250 hps, and will be harvesting very soon. I am expecting 3 or 4 ounzes by the look of it. By the way this is my first grow. :bigjoint:

    Losing weight with cocaine

I practice bodybuilding also (smoking weed helps me relax after training), and 'BobMarleySpliffs' advice is good advice. Be strict with yourself and think about your goal at all times, when you wake in the morning, when you are preparing food, when shopping, when working. For example lets say...

    My first homemade DWC cloner

That should be ok, the water is heavily oxygenated so roots will grow anyway. I tested it on my cloner, I placed some stems above the water level and some submerged and they all rooted still. Some people root by putting cuttings in a plain old glass of water, if you change the water regularly it...

how much yield do you recon

I would have thought you would get a lot more than 2.5 ounces, a plant that size (probably 4-6ft when finished and a metre square) under a 600watt light. I am no expert, and am doing my first grow at the moment under a 250 watt and am hoping for 3 ounces. You should be looking for at least 4-6...

    55"x65" x 8 ' DWC , SoG .question.+rep and PICS

Are you thinking of putting new clones in there? Not sure it's a good idea to force them into flower so young, I've read it could stress them too much and create hermies. Veg them for a few weeks before putting them under 12/12. Good luck man! :bigjoint:

How do I work out EC?

Had a reply from the company I bought it off, and they say it is 1 = 640ppm. So I now know that 2.25 is equivelent to ~ 1440ppm...YAY!! That does mean my tap water is around 512ppm!! Crikey thats hard! Thanks for all the help everyone, happy gardening! :bigjoint:

How do I work out EC?

I found the receipt for it, so have emailed the company I bought it from to see if they know what it is.

How do I work out EC?

Hi eza82, yeah I found a few sites like that, and I am not sure what country spec my meter is so I don't know if my meter reads EC as ppm/500, ppm/640 or ppm/700 as there are 3 (at least) different conversions that different meters use. Think I will have to buy a meter that has the correct...

How do I work out EC?

Seems to me this EC stuff is flawed if you don't know what your conversion factor is! Why is there not a single standard, guess it's just a way of making more money, a bit like VHS and Beta or HD DVD and Blu-Ray. :wall: Thanks for the info, I think I will carry on the way I have been, it seems...

How do I work out EC?

I have calibration fluid (EC 1.42 or something) and you adjust it with a small screwdriver (variable resistor I guess). Other than that it has an on/off button and thats it. I guess this ensures it will be set somewhere near accurate.

How do I work out EC?

Thanks eza82, Thats cleared part of the problem for me, sounds like I am at a good EC. I am 3 weeks into flower at the moment so will be adding a booster soon. Just need to know what conversion factor my EC meter uses, if it's 500 or 700.... :joint:

How do I work out EC?

Hi all, I have been increasing my EC by a little bit here and there over the last month or so on a DWC bucket. But I am not sure if I am at the best EC. My problem is that my tap water is quite hard and comes out at an EC of 0.80 to 0.85. I am then adding flowering nutes to make the total up to...

    LED light help

I have one of those boards and they are absolutely hopeless. I grew a seedling under one and it just stretched further and further even though I kept the board only maybe 1/2" above the top of the seedling. :wall: My opinion is that they are rubbish! I wasted £40 inc P+P on one and am a little...
