  • so does this muffler go around your ducting on the exhaust side of the fan..? I'm just having a hard time with the mental image. Basically what i have in my head is that you have wrapped your muffler around ( or in substitution ) of your ducting. Was it just the sound of the air flow that was making the noise? I am a VERY new grower.. so new that my first plant has just started germinating. :-D
hey i dont have a camera but i can explain my method. get some mesh wire like chicken wire from your hardware store, as well as some r-13 or so fiberglass insulation. should be 4 or 6 in thick. now choose how long your muffler should be( i made 3 in a chain each about 12 in long). Now cut a sheet of wire and roll it up and secure it the same size as your ducting wether it be 4 or 6 in. now do 1 layer of fiberglass around the wire with the itchy side against the wire. secure the insulation around the wire but compress the insulation as little as possible. now duct tape the entire thing to seal all the outside of the insulation and seal that to the ends( make sure you leave room on the ends of the wire with no insulation so u can clamp it to your ducting). make as many as you nee d to get the level of quiet you need and chain them together. If you need to bend your ducting between mufflers do so. if you have more questions just leave me another message.
