  • Hey LS. Old school grower here, got my Agronomy Degree from Michigan State University in 1978 . Did you ever finish your Turf Degree ? We probably have a lot in common bruh ! Major League groundskeeper and Golf Course Super for over 40 years. Get a hold of me sometime ! Later
Ethylene again is a naturally produced chemical in fruiting plants. It promotes fruit production/ripening. Cannabis does not have a predetermined sex. It does not use the XY system. it uses a system called XA. Basically the diff is that the sex is not predetermined and can be changed at any stage of growth. Ethylene when combined with auxins has a female promoting effect in cannabis and in a book called "Boys and Girls Come out to Play:the moleculat biology of Dioecious Plants" a botanist was able to actually reverse male cannabis plants from male to female during flower. The same can be done to famles with cytokinens and gerbillic acid. Not to make herms but full males. Lamp
When i did it outdoors i just dug a couple 3 gal wholes with cheap (nonnutes P. Soil). But I use FF everytime. Love. There shit is compost, except, perfectly balance. Its like buying it from your farmer neighbor. My only grip is that that stuff is areated well, but compacts when water wayy to easily. So get a small bag of perlite(9$) or two and wix into your pots at about 15%+/- perlite.
FFOF i think is the best. My next soil tjough, i plan to recycle some old soil and compost some, and try some advanced tecniques, like lining the bottom of flowerin pots with worm castiongs, then transplant and in flower haveing a thick layer of bat guano just at the bottom.
FF butes are great, I'd sy they are the most commonly used for this purpose and there are no complaints. BUT all the old time growers on here SWEAR by botanicaire, I think its semi organic which could be why. Lamp
yo shade I'm a noob bro so a friend like you I need my question is when you used soil what type was it or did you mix it yourself? andhave you ever used FF products before?
yo man I got a question for you at week 6 of flowering I should stop ferts. and just give my plants plain old water?
AS i rape your mother, i laugh at your bitch ass.... lol take it east shitty lips and tell ya mother i said "clean her-self up"
Hey that happened to me too. I think it just accelerates during veg and if you dont put it into flowering they get too high and if you do put it into flowering you will have skinnier stems. Dont worry the stems should thicken as flowering continues. harvest when all trichs are the way you want them .
It sounds like it is ripening and yeah I grow sweet tooth some good shit. It does ripen a little earlier. If all is lost and confused get a strong magnifing glass and look at the mushroom shaped trichromes on the buds just look all over them if the trichroms are cloudy this is the time to harvest if you want a up high but if you want a stone wait until they turn a shady amber or halfnhalf if you want halfnhalf. If you want pics look on the FAQ Harvesting look they have some accurate pics of when to harvest by going with the trichrome nice talkin to ya keep me posted. See ya
    hey hun,
you should totally help me out the next time you get online.
    my questions in the forum.
or we can discuss in here.
    which ever you perfer.
    but i neeeeeeed help.

    thankkkks.
In soil, i like Fox Farm Ocean Forest, i like to add about 15% perlite extra to the mix too.
For hydro, i like DWC with hydroton, or ebb and flow with hydroton. Top feed with rockwool is good too.
Yeah thats what ive read. I was more concerned with the yellowing on the lower leaves as u can see in the 2nd pic. Let me ask you something; what medium do u use to grow?
whats up man? I just posted some pics of the plants in an album if u wanna check em out. You can see where the yellowing of the lower leaves were in one of the pics. The pics are mainly of my better looking plant; not that the other one is doing bad, just not as good. I also flushed the other one today; the browning of the leaves got slightly worse so i figured that wasthe best idea. How do they look?
hey man i got the attachments for the bulbs, the best bulbs i could find were, Sylvania micr-mini soft white(do they make cfls plant lights?) and thier 23wtts each, 1640 lumens
Sounds like a good thing. You got me excited. One more quick question: on the leaves that have slightly browned tips, will they turn green after i flush it or at any point during the grow? Also you said to flush with 20% runoff after they dry. Seems logical, but might as well ask: just flush until 20% of water of the volume of my pot comes thru my drain holes?
Is that normal to have 8 set of nodes on a 6" plant? FRom pictures i have seen, i seems like a lot of nodes for a plant that size.
