sry been a while man, if you dnt have to worry about temps i would definitly run both st the same time for the full eight hrs
but if temps are going to be a problem i would run the mh 3 weeks into flowering hps untill the last two weeks and the switch back to mh for the last bit thats what i do u get the short growwth in nodes theat u want then the hps packs on the buds and the last bit of mh will increase resin production on the buds hopes it helps man

Hey...saw you posted a little on switching between HPS and MH in flowering stage. I am uproaching the flowering stage and have both a 400w MH and a 400w HPS available. I have vegged under the MH and I feel like my plants really like the richness of the MH. In your opinion, what should I do? I have them both setup in different closets. If I could run them in one space together would that work (both MH and HPS)? I have even thought of setting the timer to have MH for the 1st 4 hours, then add the HPS for the next 4 and then end the last 4 hours under MH. This is my first grow and I am growing to supply my own smoke. I think I would trade in a little bit of quantity for quality. Any thoughts are appreciated. Also, I am really enjoying this process. Fascinating. Thanks in advance.
