Hello kindnug, I was hoping you could assist me with advice. I'm a new grower. I planted 9 beans using RR, saturated the RRs with 5.8 PH tap water, put 1/2 inch of water in a tray with a dome, all vents closed. I am using T5 HOs about a foot above the RR tops. I put the beans in the holes and tapped them down a bit. After 2 days, one bean broke the top of the RR. It grew another inch, but fell over with the helmet still on. I removed the helmet , and tried to place it back in the RR hole. It hasn't died yet, but it has brown at the top and is drooping. I think it is suffering from dampening off. So, I've removed the humidity dome and drained all the water from the tray. I placed a little of the RR material in each of the remaining holes to cover the beans. Temp is 80 f; humidity is 35 %. I now intend to check each RR daily and if they feel dry, water a little. Do you have any thought on how to save the other 8 beans? Appreciate your time, I like your posts. Regards, ww.
