  • alright thanks. Alot of people on RIU use(MANY site moderators) that term for that process of stopping feed. Thats why when I post on here, I use the term flush, so that MOST people know what im talking about, cuz that is what they go by and basically what is taught here on RIU. So, I guess if I were around all u "west coaster's" (whom MANY of them say flushing), I would use "their" terms and if you implied, I doubt being on the west side makes you or anyone else any more of a better grower, however if you are in a place where it is decriminalized or legalized for med. then you are able to grow/experience more without the constraints and tyranny of the law. Take care as well, good growing.
in response to your other post message. you think that there arent any salts in natural soils? yes it did seem unclear, I dont believe that plants keep absorbing an excess amount of nutrients, i was just saying that to see what outdoor in ground growers would say. I also am aware that growing with synthetic chemicals is different than growing completely organic. Its been nice as well. :leaf: i believe that we are mostly in agreement.
You sent posted a visitor message, you didnt send me a PM. We must have a different perception, mine is that "flushing" is to stop feeding, and to water with plain water for anywhere in between 7-14 days. You can take that however you want and change it to whatever name you want, but im my vocabulary, that means to flush the soil and the plant clear of any left over salt, mineral or metal deposits left within the media and plant to provide the plants with the cleanest possible buds for ingestion. As not to leave any negative taste/smell and eliminate the health risk from smoking leftover salts, metals and/or minerals and any thing else that would be considered contaminants/pollution. That certainly is flushing. Also I wasn't referring to plants in containers, I was referring to ground plants. Most plants do have a residual amount of something, wether it be salts, minerals, metals or something else that will impart negative effects and could cause a negative smoking experience.
