did you dip that cutting in any cloning gel or powder?, cloning 101 is take cutting, dip in rooting gel or powder, insert in medium that will stay wet for week , dirt would work but you would want to put the dirt in a small container, maybe sitting in a half inch of water. Using B1 or superthrive in your water will help too. once in medium you need to mist the clone and put under dome of sorts. u will have another chance in a week or so to take cuttings.
