I think they might be a little too small yet to be feeding them full nutes. DWC can be a tricky set up and takes time to adjust. I usually grow mine for another week, and then switch them into flower and start feeding them nutrients.. I just nute locked my plants in week 6 of flower due to too...

I dont think it really sounds like too good of an idea. You could always try using a product like bushmaster, which will make your plants flower quicker and grow less vertically.
