What the Hell is This? (Harvest Damage)

looks like you got some botrytis going on in the first pic. caused by too much moisture/not enough ventilation. second is caused by a caterpillar making a nest to lay its eggs. you can deal with caterpillars safely with Bacilus thuringensis. you could also try and use Ed Rosenthal's...

Mendo Lav from Harborside Health Center

Looking to get some info on this stain. I picked up a few clones a while back and have had them flowering for about 40days. This seems to be the slowest developing herb Ive grown in a long time and its starting to get me worried. Anyone out there ever grown this strain before? Got any...

    DIY Rubbermaid Aero SOG

I never said the light was TOO close, I said it was CLOSE to being too close. IME, at that height with that wattage even with aircooled hoods on a hot day I would be worried about burned plants. im jealous to hear you can pull it off. must make for some really bushy plants.

    DIY Rubbermaid Aero SOG

it wouldn't make sense to lollipop and SOG. SOG will give you more smaller buds, lollipop will yield fewer larger ones. no such thing as too much light as long as the plants aren't being burned. and at 12-16" away with that much light, you really need to watch them as the light is really close...

Aircooled Hoods - tradeoff between temperature and UVB

Huh, the thought crossed my mind, but .... seems like you must lose a lot of the efficiency of the aircooled system. know of any other articles or thread written about the subject? thanks!

Aircooled Hoods - tradeoff between temperature and UVB

so ive been thinking about upgrading my lights to aircooled versions, but after a bit of reading ive only got more questions. so from what i gather, if you use an aircooled hood you need to use a glass lens to keep the hot air in the hood so that it can be sucked out and not allowed to enter...

    Where do you measure temperature?

thanks for the replies guys. I guess I have another question to clarify then. so when which thermometer gets over 75-77 do you start to worry? cause when i hang the thermometer in the growing canopy my temps are consistently above 90, but the plants look good and the last few crops have...

    Where do you measure temperature?

Just had a thought I figured I'd run by all the experts here. When do you know the growroom is too hot? Is it when the ambient room temperature gets above 75-77 , or when the measured temperature directly below the lamps in the growing canopy gets above 75-77? thanks in advance!

I in no way meant to tell you to change your fertilizer regiment. i was just showing you mine so you could compare it to yours and see where you might be able to fit in the subculture and nematode into your program. id do the nematodes and the subculture on the same day, from the same container.

almost. all my H20 is RO measured with 0ppm TDS i make at home, thats the first step to success. i use subculture m&b 1x weekly - applied with a very very dilute solution of floranova grow/bloom (the smallest amount i can measure out and let it sit in a jug for about 30min before i apply) i...

New Grow Room Pictures, almost done!!!

im in N Marin County where i grew up, although Ive spent A LOT of time up that way when i was a kid. correct, just apply a bit to each pot. depending upon which one you buy, it will either be a liquid or a powder. add whatever it is to distilled water, or RO water - let it hang out for 30min...

we live about 30min from each other id guess. all the OSH in our area sell them in the fridge in the garden center. they are sold with ladybugs and the like... they also should be available at any good garden center in your area. about $25 for a box, should probably treat your setup for 3 months.
