    Ethylene (ethene) is NOT THE SAME as acetylene (ethyne). No! Bad stoner! Bad, Bad stoner! Ethylene is a 2-carbon chain with a double bond between the carbons. Acetylene is 2-carbon chain with a triple bond between the two carbons. One is a plant hormone, the other is likely toxic to your plants.
