Flushing with tap water will kill microbes before the drying. I let the pro mix dry so that all the chlorine can evaporate from it.

Are you using tap water? Chlorine kills. I use reverse osmosis water. cut off whatever is rotted. Remember some products will stain your roots like humic acid. You won't have those pretty white roots anymore but it doesn't mean your plant isn't taking up nutrients and water. If your plants...
