I got two 5 packs for $5 bucks each at costco. Easy way to tell what bulbs to look at via the packaging is DAY LIGHT, then make sure you verify the lumen output. There are many that are only 5000k...HD and Lowe's where I am did not have any 6500k bulbs. Costco did.

Looking great man considering what you're providing them light wise. Why not just add in some CFL's too? Cheap and efficient way to better what you're doing...looking at like $20-$50 at the depot depending on how you go...just my view. Good Job though!:-P

correct...the 2700k cfl's are the ones I believe...and they are of the red spectrum. I'm using 6500k/5000k bulbs in the veg right now..bright daylight/blue.

Deep Water Culture, heard good things. Let me research up on that a bit. From what I've been able to find, it's basically more filtered as it's more aimed for direct use in the home....so if anything it probably won't be sufficient enough, but could still help by suspending down in the harder...

Did that lamp/cord work before? My only guess... Not sure what you have access to, but what I did for my setup was got a Y split socket for lights, then an adapter for a light bulb to plug into an outlet. Did 2 of these combo's and attached to a power strip and hung above the plants....best of...

Most definitely agree with you and have often wondered why wouldn't you want both spectrums as that's more or less the transition in the real world. Are you swapping bulbs to do this or just have two different ballasts/hoods? The only issue is I don't really have the space for another tent that...

I already own a 250w MH bulb(it's a converter type to fit my 250hps ballast). I used it for vegging these first two plants I have...I have a friend who is using t8's and had exponential growth against my two with my MH...the guy at the grow shop I bought my setup from was the one who recommended...
